We are seeking a Part-Time Assistant Clerk. Schedule flexibility a plus!

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to and takes daily directions from the Town Clerk~ Tax Collector. In absence of the Town Clerk~ Tax Collector, the Deputy Clerk will be the Supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY:

Professionally, efficiently, and kindly serve the Town of Barnstead and its' residents by performing a variety of routine and responsible clerical and administrative support duties for the Barnstead Town Clerk~ Tax Collector Office. The office is responsible for collecting property taxes, collecting fees and processing motor vehicle and boat registrations, dog licenses, vital record requests, and marriage licenses.

The Assistant will also be responsible for some election-related tasks and ensure proper filing and record retention according to state laws. Qualified candidates should possess a high degree of confidentiality and integrity as well as demonstrate success in administrative, computer and customer service skills.

Hours:

Monday, 8:30am-4:30pm, Thursday, 8:30am-4:30pm, and Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, additional shifts to cover scheduled staff time off throughout the year. Additional hours required during initial training as well as for elections. Schedule flexibility is a must!
