Barnstead Old Home Day 2007
Theme
The theme for Barnstead's Old Home Day 2007 will be "Horse and Carriage". We plan to have a variety of horses and carriages arrive to the event in a short parade, and then be available for viewing. If you would like to join in with your horse and carriage, please contact Eileen at 435-6692 or download the Exhibitor Registration form below. There is no entry fee and participants will receive a complimentary Old Home Day T-shirt.

Barnstead Old Home Day 2006
Barnstead Old Home Day 2006 was a fantastic success and the Old Home Day Committee has begun work on the 2007 Old Home Day which will be held on August 25, 2007.
Below are some of the activities offered on Old Home Day and Barnstead hopes you will visit for a day of fun, food, games, and fireworks. To view results of last year, click on the event.
5K Road Race
Auction & Raffle
In 2006, a lively aution was run by George Twigg who started the morning off with fun and excitement.
Kids Games
Barnstead offered the children a Bounce House, which was very popular, but not as popular as the Dunk Tank, especially when the Police Chief, Ken Borgia, offered himself up for a cooling dip.
The Field of Foam was created at the Parade Fire Station.
Exhibits and Demonstrations
Classic and Custom Motorcycles
Charlie Chopper from Barnstead was the People's Choice winner with his entry of a 2005 custom built bike.
The Oldest Bike award went to Richard Fitts of Northwood for his 1953 Harley Davidson.
Barnstead had a Karate demonstration that drew a wonderful crowd.
Entertainment
Barnstead's own Hampstead Players
Magician B.J. Hickman
The band High Range provided a delightful mix of bluegrass and folk music. High Range joined Barnstead as part of the Parks & Recreation Summer Concert Series. For a detailed listing of the Summer Concert Series, See the Parks & Rec page.
Competitions
The winning entry of the 2006 Blueberry Baking Contest was submitted by Wendy Jacobs of Center Barnstead.
Barnstead Citizen of the Year Award
The 2006 Citizen of the Year was Vinnie Miller, an extremely active member of the community.
Food
The Pancake Breakfast was hosted by the Pittsfield Rotary Club.
Dinner was presented by the Parent Teacher Association.
The evening cakewalk saw a lot of kids taking home the delicious treats that were offered as prizes.
Fireworks
Old Home Day says good bye for another year with a colorful and sparkling dispay that is sure to delight everyone.
