Going Once, Going Twice...
One of the very popular activities at Barnstead Old Home Day is the Country Auction. We are, again, privileged to have George Twigg, renowned New Hampshire auctioneer of Gilmanton, as our auctioneer for this year's Old Home Day auction. The auction will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. in the Auction Tent; chairs are provided.
Previous auctions have featured many great items donated by local businesses, individuals and families. Auction items have included fuel oil, firewood, loam, overnight stays at hotels, septic pumping, vehicle services, art work, jewelry, pillows, pet food, CDs by local artists, specialty gift baskets, internet service, pizza, quality craft items, collectibles and MUCH, MUCH MORE! It is, indeed, an interesting and diverse collection of items for auction.
